Mission Statement
The Ethics Committee is to constantly ensure that the society members and its officers function within the framework of the Code of Ethics and within the guidelines of the society Bylaws and the Articles of Incorporation.

Duties
The Ethics Committee shall oversee elections and the election process.  The committee consists of three members, with the senior member of the committee serving as chairman.  The term of office is three years, starting at the termination of the annual meeting at which elected and ending at the termination of the third subsequent annual meeting.  One new member and any vacant positions shall be elected annually by the membership. 

  • Ensuring that the society members and its officers’ function within the framework of the code of ethics and within the guidelines of the bylaws and the articles of incorporation.
  • Regularly Review AmSECT’s Code of Ethics to suggest updates and additions as needed
  • Evaluates any situations or concerns that may arise from society members for their ethical soundness
