Mary Hartley Scholarship
The AmSECT Mary Hartley Scholarship Fund is a scholarship that will provide two second-year students, enrolled in a perfusion training program, with a $10,000 scholarship. This scholarship fund is made possible by a generous donation from Mary Hartley.
Requirements:
- The applicant must submit a personal statement of no more than 500 words detailing why they chose to study perfusion.
- The applicant must be a student enrolled in their second year of a CAAHEP-accredited perfusion training program and in the middle of clinical rotations.
- The applicant must have a GPA of at least 3.0 for all classes relating to their perfusion degree. Applicants will need to submit a transcript to confirm current GPA.
- The applicant must submit a letter of recommendation from a faculty member attesting to the student’s technical skill and commitment to the field of perfusion.
Application Review Process:
The applications are reviewed by members the AmSECT Foundation Board, and the AmSECT Achievement Recognition Committee and Membership Committees. The selected winner will be announced to the AmSECT membership and will be interviewed for an upcoming AmSECT publication.
