The Leadership Symposium is a program consisting of a series of four, monthly webinars and a one-day, in-person symposium held at the AmSECT International Conference geared toward aspiring perfusion leaders. The AmSECT Leadership Task Force reviews applications, and attendees are selected based on their qualifications, experience and personal statement. The application period for the 2023 Leadership Symposium is now closed. All attendees will be notified of acceptance by Friday, November 4. You will then have three weeks to confirm attendance and pay the registration fee (deadline: November 18). Pre-work is required; assignments will be sent in December. An application file that is incomplete will not be reviewed.
Who Should Apply
The AmSECT Leadership Symposium is for perfusionists who are current or aspiring leaders, including those currently in management positions who desire to improve their leadership potential.

- Build connections with leaders in the perfusion field
- Explore strategies for building a team
- Describe tangible practices to optimize your relationship with your boss
Program Structure
All attendees will be required to participate in the monthly webinars and the one-day symposium. A full agenda for all of the workshops is provided below. The webinars will be held on the specified dates from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm EST. The in-person Symposium will be an all day event. Please note that participation is required for all of the dates below. Attendees must also be able to physically attend the in-person session in Orlando as no virtual option will be provided.
