Legends Lunch with Tim Wilcox
Join us for an inspiring session honoring Tim Willcox, a pioneer in perfusion and a cornerstone of New Zealand's cardiac care advancements. With over five decades at Auckland City Hospital's Greenlane Cardiothoracic Unit, Tim has been instrumental in establishing critical programs in cardiac, lung, and liver transplantation, as well as ECMO services. A life member and past President of the ANZCP, Tim has shaped the profession through leadership, education, and innovation, including his stewardship of the Perfusion Improvement Reporting System (PIRS2) and contributions to the Australia and New Zealand Collaborative Perfusion Registry. Beyond his clinical and academic achievements, Tim has championed charitable missions, bringing life-saving surgery to Samoa. As he prepares to retire from clinical practice, this session celebrates his remarkable contributions and enduring legacy in perfusion safety and care.
