AmSECT’s Journal of ExtraCorporeal Technology is the premier source of the most current research and information related to extracorporeal technology including cardiopulmonary bypass, extracorporeal life support, mechanical assist devices, and perioperative blood management.
We are an international journal with a subscription base of perfusionists, anesthesiologist, surgeons, and researchers from 31 countries. Our editorial board is comprised of leaders in our field from 11 countries.
The Journal is the longest continuously published periodical in the field of Perfusion and has served as the official publication of the American Society of ExtraCorporeal Technology since 1967.
JECT Digital Transition for AmSECT Members:
AmSECT voted to discontinue its printing of the Journal of Extracorporeal Technology and will move to a digital-only format in 2020. Here is what led to this decision:
- The digital age is upon us and AmSECT needs to keep up with the times. It’s also our small contribution to the environment by reducing paper consumption.
- The Society will save money that can be used to support other strategic initiatives. Funds saved from printing and mailing four issues is significant enough to make a difference.
- AmSECT hopes that readers will spend more time reading JECT with this improved digital access. Take it with you on planes, trains, or in the pump room and catch up on the latest research in our profession.
Is there any way to continue receiving a print copy of JECT?
For those members who want a printed copy of JECT, AmSECT will offer an annual subscription rate of $50 for active, transitional, lifetime, and retired members. Associate member subscription rates will remain at $100. This will ensure continued quarterly mailings of the journal to your home or institution.
