An ideal candidate is ABCP certified, but a strong new graduate will be considered. The candidate will join a team of 9 perfusionists as we expand our team. UCMC perfusionists have earned the highest level of respect from surgeons, nurses, and critical care anesthesiologists. Our perfusionists work alongside a team of ECMO specialists that provide 24/7 in-house coverage for the ECMO program, allowing us to focus our attention on initiations and inter-hospital transports. UCMC was the first adult ECMO center in our region to offer both ground and air transports for ECMO patients.
Procedures include: Routine/Complex CPB Cases
Liver and Heart Transplants
Our team is composed of both full-time and PRN staff, which allows for a flexible staffing schedule. Total compensation includes annual salary, on-call pay, PTO, medical, dental, vision, disability, liability, 401K with matching, continuing education days, tuition reimbursement, and relocation package.
Education: Bachelors Degree- Graduate of Accredited Perfusion training program.
Years of Experience: Graduate of Perfusion training program
Required Skills and Knowledge: Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of Required Skills and Knowledge: cardiac assist, cell salvage, with courses/background in physiology, chemistry, physics, pharmacology,
anatomy, ethics, and word processing.
License and Certification: Minimum is Certification Eligible; must be certified within 18 months and two attempts of employment by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP). Must maintain ABCP Certification on an annual basis.
