Staff Perfusionist

Position: Staff Perfusionist

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Cincinnati’s only academic medical center is looking for self-motivated candidates who possess a positive attitude and a passion for patient care.

The candidate will join a team of 8 perfusionists. UCMC perfusionists have earned the highest level of respect from surgeons, nurses, and critical care anesthesiologists. Our perfusionists work alongside a team of ECMO specialists that provide 24/7 in-house coverage for the ECMO program, allowing us to focus our attention on initiations and inter-hospital transports. UCMC was the first adult ECMO center in our region to offer both ground and air transports for ECMO patients.

Procedures include:
Routine/Complex CPB Cases
ECMO Insertion/Transport
Liver and Heart Transplants
VAD Implantations

Our team is composed of both full-time and PRN staff, which allows for a flexible staffing schedule. Total compensation includes annual salary, on-call pay, PTO, medical, dental, vision, disability, liability, 401K with matching, continuing education days, tuition reimbursement, and relocation package.

Cincinnati is located on the Ohio River with thriving sports-oriented venues, including professional baseball, football, and soccer teams. Over-the-Rhine district, University of Cincinnati, and the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens are located close to the hospital. Eden Park with the Krohn Conservatory, Cincinnati Playhouse and Art Museum, along with the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal, Cincinnati Music Hall, Findlay Market, Taft Museum, and Cincinnati Observatory are other highlights of the city.

Cincinnati has easy access to the Indianapolis, Louisville, Lexington, Columbus and Dayton areas.

An ideal candidate is ABCP certified, but a strong new graduate will be considered.
