Position: Staff Perfusionist 

Location: Buffalo, NY


CHS Mercy Hospital is the regional leader in cardiac surgery. Our team of experienced surgeons and perfusionists are focused on excellent patient care while maintaining a quality work life balance. We strive to create a strong work environment and a complete team approach to improve our patient outcomes. Current case volumes include 550-600 cardiac, 30 ECMO, and other blood management related procedures. ECMO coverage is provided using a hybrid model of nurses and perfusionists.
Employment is with UPMC Procirca, a perfusion services provider that is internationally recognized for clinical expertise, simulation, and perfusion education. Come join our team of over 90 perfusionists, blood management specialist, and physician experts.


Graduate of CAAHEP accredited School of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
Current ABCP certification
New York state Perfusion License

AmSECT Membership Eligibility

An Active Member shall be any perfusionist active in the practice of extracorporeal circulation technology. There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program. Other options include; an Associate Membership, International Membership, Perioperative Blood Management Clinician Membership, and Student Membership.
