Position: Staff Perfusionist

Location: Buffalo, NY


Procirca is actively recruiting a Staff Perfusionist to join the team, including the Director of Perfusion, three staff perfusionists, and one perfusion assistant. This position requires participation in the on-call schedule shared equally with five perfusionists.
CHS Mercy is the regional leader in cardiac surgery and valve repair. Their team of experienced cardiac and vascular surgeons are focused on providing compassionate and personalized care in a cooperative and cohesive manner. Current case volumes include 550-600 cardiac, 30 ECMO, and other blood management related procedures. ECMO coverage is provided using a hybrid model of nurses and perfusionists.


• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited School of Cardiovascular Perfusion
• Current ABCP Certification
• New York State Perfusion License
• Computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database management
• Two years of clinical experience as an ABCP Certified Clinical Perfusionist

AmSECT Membership Eligibility

An Active Member shall be any perfusionist active in the practice of extracorporeal circulation technology. There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program. Other options include; an Associate Membership, International Membership, Perioperative Blood Management Clinician Membership, and Student Membership.
