Description: CCHMC and the University of Kentucky have partnered to develop the Joint Pediatric Heart Care Program (JPHCP) providing pediatric and adult congenital heart care at Kentucky Children’s Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. The JPHCP Department of Cardiovascular Perfusion (DCP) staff will be members of the CCHMC team and stationed in Lexington. This arrangement allows the successful candidates to enjoy all the benefits provided by CCHMC and the full support and security of the growing CCHMC DCP while embarking on the exciting challenge of establishing a new program. The DCP is seeking two clinical perfusionists to provide pediatric and adult congenital perfusion services for the JPHCP in Lexington, Kentucky. Salary commiserate with experience. Thirty-four days of PTO annually. Fifteen-percent of salary annually contributed to your pension. 403(b) and 457(b) plans also available. Contributions of $2000 annually by CCHMC to an eligible healthcare plan HSA. Certification, professional dues and CEU funds provided. Tuition assistance for further education.
- Bachelor’s degree required in an allied health field or equivalent with a strong science background and advanced training in circulation technology from a CAHEP accredited perfusion training program or an equivalent combination of education and perfusion experience
- Must be certified or eligible to sit for the certification exam and actively pursuing certification, by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion. Must attain certification within the first 18 months of employment. ABCP certification must be maintained during the term of employment.
- Experience with pediatric CPB, ECMO and other MCS devices.
