Position: Full Time Staff Perfusionist
Location: Danbury, CT
Description: Nuvance Health, formerly known as Western Connecticut Health, has as excellent opportunity for a experienced full-time Staff Perfusionist to work on our Cardiac Perfusion Service at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut. The Staff Perfusionist primary responsibility is to conduct cardiopulmonary bypass for patients undergoing bypass surgery, participates in all activities related to overall operation of the department, specifically data collection and management, laboratory management and equipment readiness. The perfusionist will be available to consult with the medical staff on all perfusion related technologies. Danbury is located about 60 miles northeast of New York City in suburban Fairfield County and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York State. Requirements: Board certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion, or eligible (must be attained within 6 months from hire). New hires must accumulate 50 cases to sit for the boards. Until certified, candidate works under the direction of a preceptor.
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Experience: one year
