The perfusionist, under the supervision of the CV surgeon, provides life support to critically ill patients. Participate in the support of the clinical perfusion service by assisting with the design, stocking, and purchasing of equipment, and disposables utilized during extracorporeal circulation. Perfusionists continuously strive to maintain the highest level of competency.
We are located in a brand-new heart hospital offering 500-600 cases per year including ECMO. Your team is amazing with a lot of experience so mentorship and support is available.
Requirements:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Perfusion education program.
Licensure: Licensed by the state of Missouri as a Clinical Perfusionist or Provisional Clinical Perfusionist.
Experience: Successful completion of an accredited perfusion education program and be eligible to take the ABCP board exams.
Certifications: Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) or become a Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) by the ABCP within on year of hire. Maintain current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or acquire within the probationary period.
