Position: Perfusionist

Location: Milwaukee, WI


Our Team of 11 Perfusionists pump approximately 2,000 hearts per year including CABG, Valves, Aortic, Heart Transplant and TAVRs. In addition to a well- established ECMO program, we provide coverage for HIPECs and Angiovac procedures. Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center is a quaternary referral center with Aurora Grafton Medical Center being our sister hospital. Our perfusionists also provide the primary clinical and didactic site for the Milwaukee School of Engineering’s Masters in Perfusion Program. License: Perfusionist license issued by the state of Wisconsin, and CCP issued by the ABCP.

Education: Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Cardiovascular Technology.

Experience: Typically requires 3 years of experience in pumping perfusion cases. We will consider all levels of experience. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Skills: Our team members must be self-motivated and desire to work on a team that performs a high volume of cases that are often complex. We value both teamwork and autonomy.

AmSECT Membership Eligibility

An Active Member shall be any perfusionist active in the practice of extracorporeal circulation technology. There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program. Other options include; an Associate Membership, International Membership, Perioperative Blood Management Clinician Membership, and Student Membership.
