Position: Perfusionist 

Location: Tucson, AZ

Description: 

Department of Veterans Affairs NCO22-Gilbert Network Contracting 3601 S. 6th Avenue Tucson AZ 85723

Regular work hours are Monday through Friday for eight (8) hours a day from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Assist surgeon in open heart surgery, heart lung machine, membrane oxygenation, left/right heart bypass, intra-aortic balloon pumping and centrifugal ventricular assist device.

Requirements:

• American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion certified.
• All licenses held by the personnel working on this contract shall be full and unrestricted license to the services covered by this contract issued in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
• Perfusionists shall be a graduate of an accredited Allied Health Education Program School of Perfusion Technology and shall be certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
• Active BLS
• Active DEA
• US Citizen

AmSECT Membership Eligibility

An Active Member shall be any perfusionist active in the practice of extracorporeal circulation technology. There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program. Other options include; an Associate Membership, International Membership, Perioperative Blood Management Clinician Membership, and Student Membership.
