MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center is seeking a full-time perfusionist to join our quickly-growing cardiac program at MercyOne Heart and Vascular Center in Sioux City, Iowa. MercyOne has long been the tri-state area’s leading cardiac program with 200 adult heart surgeries last year. Our team of two perfusionists has a collective 45 years of experience.
MercyOne Siouxland is a regional medical center that serves a 33-county area and is also home to the only Level II Trauma Center in Western Iowa. We are part of the MercyOne network, a connected system of 20,000 colleagues across the state of Iowa. MercyOne Siouxland is owned by Trinity Health of Livonia Mich., the second-largest Catholic health care system in the United States.
In addition to CABGs, our team performs complex valve and aortic procedures, minimally invasive heart surgery and TAVRs. Additional clinical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ECMO, intra-aortic balloon pump, autotransfusion procedures and platelet-rich plasma therapy.
The ideal candidate for our practice should be highly motivated and professional, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Call would be equally divided between three team members. Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Perfusion and must be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
