Position: Perfusionist

Location: Salt Lake City, UT


Looking for a dedicated, skilled perfusionist to work at a growing academic institution performing approximately 700-800 cases per year. This institution performs CABG, valve, adult congenital, LVAD, TAVR, HIPEC, heart and lung transplants, aortic cases, etc., and is currently in the process of establishing a perfusion school in cooperation with the University of Utah. The workload is shared among the group, which will include time teaching in the perfusion school. This job is employed by the School of Medicine within the University which offers competitive benefits and excellent experience. We do not sit ECMO. Must be abcp certified or eligible for certification. Reliable, dedicated, and a team player. Needs to be able to work as a member of a larger surgical team as well as handle the occasional stress of being the only perfusionist in house. Pushing/ pulling heavy equipment to and from the pump room to the OR is a daily task.

There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program. Other options include; an Associate Membership, International Membership, Perioperative Blood Management Clinician Membership, and Student Membership.
