Perfusion Manager

Position: Perfusion Manager

Location: Houston, TX 


Position responsible for supervising department staff and for management of perfusion team; providing leadership to the perfusion department, and participating in the perfusion program’s strategic planning, growth and development, marketing, and community outreach functions; ensuring positive physician/staff relations; and for acting as interim or relief department director as necessary.


Education: Graduate of a school of perfusion technology; Bachelors degree


Licensed as a Perfusionist in the State of Texas
Board Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

Completion of management/leadership training programs as designated by the institution within first year of employment
Ongoing management/leadership training programs as designated by organization’s leadership
Five (5) or more years experience in clinical area of practice
Three (3) or more years supervisory or management experience

An Active Member shall be any perfusionist active in the practice of extracorporeal circulation technology. There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program. Other options include; an Associate Membership, International Membership, Perioperative Blood Management Clinician Membership, and Student Membership.
