Position: Pediatric Perfusionist
Location: Baltimore, MD
The Johns Hopkins Children’s Center at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland has an immediate exciting opportunity for two full time Pediatric Perfusionists. Johns Hopkins is a Center with a rich history in cardiac surgery and the notion of Blalock - Taussig - Thomas Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center is to build on the tradition of collaboration, academics and diversity. The pediatric perfusion team will have a total of three pediatric perfusionists with a chief of pediatric perfusion and two staff pediatric perfusionists. Potential candidates would be expected to have one to three years of experience in pediatric perfusion and experience in ventricular assist devices is desired. New grads and/or students with upcoming graduations with strong pediatric clinical experience will be considered. All three perfusionists share on-call responsibility equally, which provides an excellent work/life balance.
Requires either current certification eligibility or current status of certified clinical perfusionist (CCP) by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion. If board certification is eligible, required to become certified within 24 months of graduation from an accredited perfusion education program. Should acquire the appropriate state perfusion licensure as dictated by the Maryland Board of Physicians.
