Position: Pediatric Cardiovascular Perfusionist

Location: Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, Milwaukee

Description: Provides perfusion services for patients requiring open heart surgery, ECMO, and salvaging.  Serves as a resource for Children's Hospital personnel regarding technical problems related to heart/lung perfusion, ECMO, and cell salvaging. Knowledge of basic anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, cardiology, and cardiac pathology as well as cardiac congenital defects and specialized heart/lung equipment and instrumentation as normally acquired through completion of an accredited school of perfusion or certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion. Analytical ability necessary to process and interpret clinical data in order to adjust equipment parameters during the conduct of perfusion.

Requirements: Prefer clinical experience in Neonatal/Pediatric CPB and ECMO; and in advanced Pediatric perfusion techniques.
Candidate must be board certified and/or eligible by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion and the State of Wisconsin

There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program.
