ECMO/ECLS Coordinator

Position: ECMO/ECLS Coordinator

Location: Miami, FL


Comprehensive Care Services, Inc. is looking for an experienced ECMO Coordinator with at least 3-5 years experience.
The selected candidate has an twenty-four (24) hour responsibility for the ECLS/ECMO Department. Ensures that the ECLS/ECMO Department meets quality standards within the resources available. Ensures that the ECLS Department responds to ECMO, according to protocols and Hospital agreement. Performs procedures relative to the physiological management of patients' circulatory and respiratory functioning during ECMO, under the direct supervision of the ECMO Medical Director and/or operating surgeon.

Must be willing to work flexible schedules. Demonstrate well-developed interpersonal skills and communication skills necessary to interact in a professional manner with nursing staff, health care team members, patient and families. Must have strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple hospitals as needed. Must be willing to educate other staff members as well as physicians as required.
Must have current Respiratory Therapist license, Nursing license, or Perfusionist Certification with critical care and ECMO experience to be considered for this position. Must show evidence of commitment to continued education and self-development.

There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program. Other options include; an Associate Membership, International Membership, Perioperative Blood Management Clinician Membership, and Student Membership.
