Position: ECMO Specialist
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Come join the Comprehensive Care Services, Inc. team! We are looking for an experienced ECMO Specialist with at least 3-5 years’ experience and supervisory/leadership skills. Will perform procedures relative to the physiological management of patients’ circulatory and respiratory functions during and following cardiac surgery, under the direct supervision of the anesthesiologist and operating surgeon. Performs procedures relative to Extra-Corporeal Life Support (ECLS)/ Extra-Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) under the direct supervision of the Director and/or ECLS Coordinator of Perfusion Services. Participates in the treatment plan involving assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and education. Communicates with the physician and other members of the healthcare team to interpret, adjust, and complete treatment specific care for the ECLS patient. Must be willing to work flexible schedules. Qualified candidates must demonstrate professional, well-developed interpersonal communication skills while interacting with nursing staff, health care team members, patients and families.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Completion of designated ECLS Training program. Evidence of commitment to continued education and self- development. Orientation to duties to be accomplished within six months. Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal skills and communication skills necessary to interact in a professional manner with nursing staff, health care team members, patients, and their families.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess one of the following:
a) Current Certification as a Cardiovascular Perfusionist (CCP), Board-eligible perfusionist (CP) through the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP), or CCP Emeritus.
b) License and/or Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
c) Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
d) Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) obtained from an ACGME or WFME/FAIMER approved medical school.
· ACGME or WFME/FAIMER certification in good standing.
· Licensed or Unlicensed Medical Doctor
· Specifically trained in ECLS and has successfully completed institutional training requirements for the clinical ECLS specialists.
