ECMO Perfusionist

UPMC Procirca is excited to announce new opportunities for full-time and per diem ECMO Perfusionists in York, Pennsylvania. The successful applicants will join a team of two full time ECMO Perfusionists with limited on-call responsibilities and flexibility to switch on-call. The shifts will be variable with opportunities to reach a balance between work and home life. There may also be opportunities to work in the operating room. The WellSpan York Perfusion program consists of approximately 600 open hearts and 70 ECMO procedures annually.

York, PA is a beautiful city offering many activities for all ages including farmers markets, various city parks with fun programs for adults and youth, cultural venues and performing arts centers, as well as many museums including the famous Historical Society of York County Museum & Library, which offers an insightful look into the history of the city. York also features a minor league baseball team, York Revolution, which plays at the Peoples Bank Baseball Park right in the heart of the city! York, Pa is conveniently located within 60 minutes of Baltimore and 90 minutes of Washington and Philadelphia with a much lower cost of living. 

Candidates must be a graduate from an accredited school of cardiovascular perfusion or meet the Grandfather Clause of the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion and Pennsylvania Licensing Board. Candidates must be certified or certification eligible by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.  The competitive salary and benefits package for this position is also accompanied by a relocation bonus.

AmSECT Membership Eligibility

An Active Member shall be any perfusionist active in the practice of extracorporeal circulation technology. There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program. Other options include; an Associate Membership, International Membership, Perioperative Blood Management Clinician Membership, and Student Membership.
