Position: Clinical Perfusionist

Location: Boston, MA

Description: 

Brigham and Women’s has busy cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery programs. The perfusion team plays integral roles in these services involving CPB, CPB standby, heart and lung transplantation, ventricular assist devices, cell salvage, isolated organ perfusion, and thoracic and abdominal chemotherapy administration. Our team operates a point of care blood gas and anticoagulation laboratory for cardiac surgery.

Requirements:

0+ years experience. Applicants should be motivated and thoughtful. Our department will foster individual perfusionist’s professional interests and development including participation in research and leadership of department projects and/or services.

AmSECT Membership Eligibility

An Active Member shall be any perfusionist active in the practice of extracorporeal circulation technology. There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program. Other options include; an Associate Membership, International Membership, Perioperative Blood Management Clinician Membership, and Student Membership.
