Position: Clinical Perfusionist

Our team is expanding. The Department of Cardiovascular Perfusion is seeking a Clinical Perfusionist to add to our seven team member department. Responsibilities include; operate, maintain, and utilize circulation technology applications including but not limited to: cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB); left heart bypass; ventricular assist device (VAD); HIPEC; extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO); veno-venous by pass for liver transplantation; myocardial preservation; autologous blood recovery/blood conservation; anticoagulation and hematologic monitoring/analysis; physiologic monitoring/analysis; blood gas and chemistry monitoring/analysis; induction of hypothermia with reversal; hemodilution; hemofiltraiton; administration of medications, blood components and anesthetic agents via the extracorporeal circuit.
- Bachelor’s degree required in an allied health field or equivalent with a strong science background, and advanced training in circulation technology.
- Must be certified or eligible to sit for the certification exam and actively pursuing certification, by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion or must demonstrate equivalent qualifications and competency. Must attain certification within the first 18 months of employment. Certification must be maintained during the term of employment.
- Experience with pediatric CPB, ECMO and other MCS devices.
- AmSECT’s Fellow of Pediatric Perfusion Designation.
