Position: Clinical Perfusion Education-Faculty
Location: Omaha, NE
The College of Allied Health Professions at the University of Nebraska Medical Center is seeking applications for a full-time 12-month faculty appointment in our Clinical Perfusion Education division.
This position will demonstrate mentorship, leadership and oversight to ensure the highest quality program outcomes in education, research, and clinical practice ensuring continuous accreditation and compliance with regulatory requirements in all program facets.
Work with a team of other faculty members, a program director, clinical affiliates, vendors, and administrative support to develop the strongest perfusion clinicians with the highest moral standards and the greatest interest in patient care.
Serve as perfusion preceptor teaching students cardiopulmonary bypass, cardiac assistance, transplants, autotransfusion, laboratory assessment associated with blood management for extra-corporeal services.
Master’s degree from an accredited perfusion education program.
Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills required.
Ability to anticipate and respond effectively to changes in direction and priorities required.
Demonstrate a well-ordered approach to problem solving required.
Knowledge of patient care equipment, policy, procedure, and protocol manuals, computer/information systems, copier/telecommunication systems required.
