Position: Cardiovascular Perfusionist

The University of Rochester (Strong Memorial Hospital) has an immediate opening on its growing Cardiovascular team for a Staff Perfusionist to be responsible for all aspects of cardiovascular perfusion including, but not limited to, valves, minimally invasive procedures, CABGs, VADs, cardiac transplants, liver transplants, ECMO, ECMO specialist training and TAVR procedures. The successful candidate will exercise a high degree of skill and judgment in operating & maintaining perfusion equipment. They will also maintain an understanding of principles & methodology of current perfusion techniques.

Graduation from an approved program of Extracorporeal Technology and certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (or eligibility) is required as well as a valid NYS perfusion permit or NYS Perfusion License. New grads are welcome to apply.

AmSECT Membership Eligibility

An Active Member shall be any perfusionist active in the practice of extracorporeal circulation technology. There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program. Other options include; an Associate Membership, International Membership, Perioperative Blood Management Clinician Membership, and Student Membership.
