Position Title: Perfusionist
Location: Sydney, Australia
Description: The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN) is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic perfusionist with a passion for paediatrics to join our team. Due to the expansion of our programme, incorporating the development of a paediatric cardiac transplantation and associated Ventricular Assist Device service in conjunction with an expanding ECMO retrieval demand, we are excited to announce a vacancy for a permanent full-time position.
As the successful candidate, you will join a high performing team that carries out approximately 400 paediatric bypass cases annually, with an increasing percentage of neonatal operations. The SCHN provides a comprehensive service for Sydney and the State of NSW and you will be engaged in a diverse and challenging mix of cases for all forms of congenital heart disease. You will also be involved in an established, collaborative, multidisciplinary ECMO programme for both cardiac and non-cardiac indications, including a retrieval service from remote locations. In both the bypass and ECMO settings, you will be using the most contemporary state-of-the-art equipment and resources. Continuing education will be supported with both professional development leave and financial assistance.
Previous experience in paediatric perfusion would be a strength, however, it is not essential. If you are a motivated, fast-paced learner with a strong desire to enhance your perfusion skills, this represents a fantastic opportunity for you. Current certification with the Australasian, European, UK, Canadian or American Board of Perfusion with a minimum of three years post-certification experience is required.
Salary as per NSW Health Employees Award with all on-call and overtime paid as required.
VISA Sponsorship is available
