The American Society of ExtraCorporeal Technology is proud to announce the 48th International Conference. The meeting is dedicated to presenting the latest information on the field of perfusion sciences.
The American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion has awarded a total of 37.6 Category I Recertification CEUs for AmSECT's 48th International Conference as follows:
Tue 4/27 Advances in Blood Management: Improving Patient Care symposium (included with registration for PBMT exam; additional fee required for all others) – 4.8
Wed 4/28 Procedures in Extracorporeal Support session – 8.4

Conference Highlights:
Tuesday April 27 - Advances in Blood Management: Improving Patient Outcomes (workshop limited to 100; additional fee required), followed by the certification exam for Perioperative Blood Management Technologist (PBMT), administered by the International Board of Blood Management (IBBM). Wednesday, April 28 - Procedures in Extracorporeal Support; the morning portion will consist of presentations by leaders in long-term extracorporeal support. The afternoon will consist of a hands-on session, modification of VADS to support oxygenation, and displays of current hardware and disposables used in procedures in extracorporeal support. This session is open free of charge to all attendees of the International Conference.
Thursday, April 29 - Official opening of the Conference with scientific sessions, Perfusionist of the Year, Award of Excellence, Grand Opening of Exhibits and Manufacturer Reception.
Friday, April 30 - Scientific sessions including Quality Indicators, Business, Safety, and Pediatric sessions, judging of posters, and the Annual Corporate Meeting.
Saturday, May 1 - Scientific sessions including Government Relations, Perfusion Without Borders, Mechanical Support, the International Consortium for Evidence-Based Perfusion (ICEBP), the Gibbon Award, JECT Awards, Fellowship in Cardiovascular Perfusion, Scientific (student) Award, Scientific Poster Award, and the Student Job Fair.
