18th Annual Symposium on New Advances in Blood Management

MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT
The American Society of ExtraCorporeal Technology is proud to announce the 18th Annual Symposium on New Advances in Blood Management. The meeting is dedicated to presenting the latest information in the field of perioperative blood management and its impact on patient care.
Major subject areas for the meeting include the following:
- Foundations of hemostasis
- Evidence-based medicine in blood management
- Data, data collection, and ethics of blood management
- Fluids and fluid management
- New frontiers and opportunities in blood management
- Emerging issues in hemostasis and blood management
- Building blood management programs
Each session will have a minimum of three scientific sessions followed by a question and answer session. Speakers have been chosen who reflect the current state-of-the-art for all content areas and will report on both the physiological aspects of their subjects and on clinical studies. Emphasis will be placed on those interventions that have been scientifically shown, through techniques of evidenced-based medicine, to promote enhanced patient outcome.

The Snow King Resort is located in the historic Jackson Hole, gateway to Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Room reservations at AmSECT’s group rate are accepted on a space-available basis, through July 12 only.
We anticipate receiving approximately 23 Category I American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion continuing education points, and an equal number of nursing CEUs.
