SABM Liaison

Mission Statement
To inform the perfusion community about the current direction and mission of the Society for the Advancement of Blood Management (SABM) and its impact on awareness of surgical blood utilization and its effect on outcomes.

SABM is the largest patient blood management organization in the world helping to inform clinicians about blood alternatives and how to reduce donor (allogeneic) blood product transfusions and exposure. Their goal is to improve health outcomes. The Society advances comprehensive patient blood management practices by promoting innovative research and providing quality professional education and public information.
