PerfShareLive for January.

PerfShareLive for January.

Friends-

With the beginning of the new year I will be presenting PerfShareLive sessions again monthly. The discussion sessions will last 30 minutes. You may choose to actively participate or remain anonymous and just listen to the discussion without commenting. There is no commitment of any kind. For those who cannot join the live session, they will be recorded for playback. The can be accessed at Perfusiontheory.com under the PerfShareLive drop down menu.

Session 1: Table top scenario: Accidental, non-drowning hypothermia.

January 18 Thursday at 1830 central standard time, Kansas City, Missouri, USA

January 19 Friday at 0730 central standard time, Kansas City, Missouri, USA

Session 2: Table top scenario: Brain monitoring on pump.

January 25 Thursday at 1830 central standard time, Kansas City, Missouri, USA

January 26 Friday at 0730 central standard time, Kansas City, Missouri, USA

A Table top scenario discusses a CPB or ECMO failure, the effects of the failure and the causes of the failure. It also discusses the pre-emptive management actions that should be taken to prevent the failure from occurring or, if the failure does occur, the management actions that can be taken to mitigate the failure. The risk is quantified along with ways to reduce the failure risk.

INSTRUCTIONS TO ACCESS THE SESSIONS:

At the appropriate date and time, go to the Perfusiontheory.com web page, select PerfShareLive from the drop down menu, then select the red "Join Meeting" button and wait for it to load. It might take a few minutes.

If that doesn’t work, you can access the sessions at the appropriate date and time by entering the following address into your web browser :

You should be taken directly to the meeting room on my computer. There is no software to download onto your computer or tablet. I don’t know if it will work with smart phones on Wi-Fi. Try it and we’ll see what happens. You may only get the audio portion.

I think this web conference tool will work with most browsers, but some older browser versions may not support audio or video. If that happens, I am sorry. Try to update your browser for the next session.

I think the controls that appear on your screen are very intuitive. But if you would like an instructional video you can find it here:

If you are not sure about the date and time of the sessions in your part of the world, access this site to help you:

You can also get to the meeting from my website, http://perfusiontheory.com/perfshare-live/ , and pressing the join meeting button at the appropriate date and time.

I am located in Kansas City, Missouri, USA.

If you are a perfusion school director or instructor and would like to set-up special times just for your students I will be happy to do that.

If you have any questions I can be contacted at [login to unmask email]
