(City, State) (Date) – Join [your facility] during AmSECT Perfusion Appreciation Week, May 1-5, 2017, to celebrate the life-saving impact of perfusionists. [Your facility] is hosting an [open house/lecture/risk appraisal/etc]> for the public on [date/time] at [address] to honor the role perfusionists have in the management of the physiological and metabolic needs of the cardiac surgical patient.

This year’s theme, “Serving at the Heart of the Matter,” brings awareness to the perfusionist's role. Perfusionists assume a crucial role within the cardiovascular surgical team, as they are responsible for operating the heart-lung (cardiopulmonary bypass) machine.
