Location: Los Angeles, CA

  • Coordination of the ECMO program with Medical Directors, Director, and MHVI administrative team
  • Oversees education and training for the ECMO program
  • Staffing of Pediatric cases
  • Review, update, and maintenance of Pediatric Perfusion Policies and Procedures
  • VIPER Electronic Documentation System
  • Partner with an outstanding Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon who is well-respected in the medical community, by patients and families, and among the staff

  • Graduate from a perfusion training program accredited by the Accreditation Committee for Perfusion Education in cooperation with the commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
  • A Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CPP) from the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
  • Current certification for American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED)
  • Pediatric Perfusion experience is required
  • Working knowledge of cardioplegia delivery systems, cell saver, IABP, VAD, CPS, and ECMO

An Active Member shall be any perfusionist active in the practice of extracorporeal circulation technology. There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program. Other options include; an Associate Membership, International Membership, Perioperative Blood Management Clinician Membership, and Student Membership.
