Position:  Perfusionist II- CV Surgery

Location: University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston

Description: Seeking an experienced perfusionist to join a team of 6 perfusionists. We provide coverage for 6 CV surgeons, 5 Vascular Surgeons, and 5 Interventional Cardiologists.  Case coverage includes: AATA, Type A, TAAA, Minimally Invasive Procedures, CABs, Valves, Cell Saver, TAVR, and Angiovac.  We are a high volume program at a teaching institution in the Texas Medical Center.  Call duties are shared equally among all team members.  Our perfusion group has an excellent team mentality and a strong working relationship with the CV surgeons, which creates a positive working environment.  Competitive salary commiserate on experience with excellent employer benefits package.


-Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
-Licensed Perfusionist by the State of Texas Department of State Health Service
-Bachelor’s Degree and completion of an accredited Perfusionist Technology program
-Two years experience required

AmSECT Membership Eligibility

An Active Member shall be any perfusionist active in the practice of extracorporeal circulation technology. There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program. Other options include; an Associate Membership, International Membership, Perioperative Blood Management Clinician Membership, and Student Membership.
