Position: Perfusionist 

Location: Jackson, TN

Description: Immediate opening for staff perfusionist with a busy heart program that continues to grow.  Currently performing over 600 cardiovascular surgeries per year and supporting three cardiothoracic surgeons. All adult program for open heart procedures, anticoagulation management, autologous blood salvaging/transfusion, BMA, assist with STS data and quality control management.  In coordination with the critical care team, provides extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) services. Also provides in case support for all transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) procedures in the hybrid ORs as well. Hours are Monday-Friday with 1:6 on-call rotation to cover evenings and weekends.

Requirements: Candidates must have graduated from an accredited Perfusion Training Program, be certified or certification eligible by American Board of Cardio-Vascular Perfusion and Licensed by the State of Tennessee.

AmSECT Membership Eligibility

An Active Member shall be any perfusionist active in the practice of extracorporeal circulation technology. There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program. Other options include; an Associate Membership, International Membership, Perioperative Blood Management Clinician Membership, and Student Membership.
