Position: Perfusionist

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Description: Join our 5 Perfusionist team covering one academic institution, with an annual caseload of 600-700 procedures, including CABG, valve repair/replace, dissection and aneurysm repair, adult congenital repair, trauma, heart and lung transplantation, VAD and ECMO insertion. No hourly VAD or ECMO monitoring. ATS for cardiac cases only. Limited IABP involvement. A successful candidate will join a highly experienced team of 4 Perfusionists.

Requirements: New graduate with well rounded clinical rotations or experienced Perfusionist encourage to apply. Must be able to respond within 30 minutes when on call. The following competencies are highly valued: Focused on clinical quality and delivering the absolute best results for patients;   Ability to adapt and thrive in a high stress environment necessary; Excellent communication skills; Proven self-starter who works well independently and as a part of the OR team.

An Active Member shall be any perfusionist active in the practice of extracorporeal circulation technology. There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program. Other options include; an Associate Membership, International Membership, Perioperative Blood Management Clinician Membership, and Student Membership.
