Position: Perfusionist

Location: Fayetteville, NC


The Perfusionist provides oversight for the perfusion program at CFVHS and provides patient care. Clinical responsibilities may include, but are not limited to performance of cardiopulmonary bypass, intra-aortic balloon pumping, autologous blood processing, perfusion lab services, electronic physiological monitoring, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, ventricular assist device, respiratory assist. Evaluates techniques and/or equipment for clinical application. Acts as a resource person for physicians, anesthesiologists, and OR personnel. Will be fourth Perfusionist in a program with two heart surgeons doing 250-300 hearts a year.
Call will be one week every four weeks.
Duties include, but not limited to cardiopulmonary bypass, TAVR standby, minimal ECMO, minimal Impella, autotransfusion, IABP, I-Stat and ACT's.


Graduate of CAAHEP Perfusion Program
Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) by ABCP or Board Eligible
North Carolina Perfusionist License or Provisional
New Graduates encouraged to apply

There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program.
