Position: Perfusionist

Location: Med Center Health, Bowling Green, KY


Responsible for the setup of and the safe operation of the cardiopulmonary bypass machine, intra aortic balloon pump, autologous blood collection machine and associated equipment, as needed, during cardiac surgery or related cardiovascular operative procedures. Responsible for operation cell saver in main OR.

  1. Bowling Green is the 3rd largest and fastest growing city in Kentucky.

  3. Close proximity to Nashville
  4. Home of Western Kentucky University and UK College of Medicine.
  5. Established Cardiothoracic program that is expanding.
  6. Perfusion team needs to increase due to growth. This is not a replacement position.


Minimum Qualifications:
Work Experience:
Minimum of 50 plus cases of performing adult perfusion.

Education & Training:
Graduate of accredited school of cardiovascular perfusion or comparable training program. Certified or certification eligible cardiopulmonary perfusionist preferred.

An Active Member shall be any perfusionist active in the practice of extracorporeal circulation technology. There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program. Other options include; an Associate Membership, International Membership, Perioperative Blood Management Clinician Membership, and Student Membership.
