Position: Perfusionist

Location: Kenosha, WI

Description: We are seeking a professional and motivated cardiovascular Perfusionist to join our team in Racine and Kenosha, Wisconsin. Join our all-adult practice of primarily routine CABG and valve surgeries.

Program Highlights:
Approximately 130-140 cases annually.
Approximately 25% off pump.
2 surgeons among 3 hospitals.
Team of 3 Perfusionists.
Shares 1/3 of call.

Racine and Kenosha are located between Milwaukee and Chicago, so the list of nearby activities is endless no matter which of the Midwest's four distinct seasons we are in. The Lake Michigan shoreline, which is just minutes away, includes something for everyone from kayaking, sailing, biking along the lakefront path, relaxing on one of the many beaches, or touring one of several historic lighthouses. Outlet shopping, downhill skiing, a local zoo, and countless festivals are a few other activities this beautiful area offers.

We support our team members who have a special interest in innovation by lowering barriers to research and publishing, and take great pride in our clinicians who have advanced industry standards and guidelines in both perfusion and cardiac surgery. All of our full-time perfusionists are encouraged to attend conferences and to be active participants in their respective state perfusion societies, so we offer funds and paid time away to attend professional meetings.

Requirements: ABCP certification is required. New graduates with well rounded clinical rotations or two years minimum of experience; five plus years of experience preferred. Ability to work on call; must live within 30 minutes from the hospital. Must obtain a perfusion license in the state of Wisconsin.

AmSECT Membership Eligibility

An Active Member shall be any perfusionist active in the practice of extracorporeal circulation technology. There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program. Other options include; an Associate Membership, International Membership, Perioperative Blood Management Clinician Membership, and Student Membership.
