Position: Perfusionist 

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Description: We are expanding our program in Albuquerque, NM and new graduates are welcome to apply! You will work with an experienced team with the opportunity to advance. You will cover pediatric and adult cases including CABGs and valves, Bental procedures, AVR, MVR, Myxoma removal; TAVR standby and lead extraction standby. Adult and pediatric ECMO. Each Perfusionist pumps around 110 cases a year. Experienced pediatric Perfusionist must have 5 years of experience and willing to train in adults. We are offering a $25,000 Sign on Bonus with this position!

Albuquerque is a tourist town in its own right with museums, zoos, mid-size university and community college. Weather is outstanding with 300 days of sunshine. Albuquerque offers a lot of government and national forests for camping. Enjoy biking, hiking, skiing, and fly fishing and hunting throughout the area. Housing prices are reasonable with traffic being almost nonexistent.

All of our full-time perfusionists are encouraged to attend conferences and to be active participants in their respective state perfusion societies, so we offer funds and paid time away to attend professional meetings.

Requirements: ABCP certification is required. New graduates with well rounded clinical rotations or two years minimum of experience; five plus years of experience required for a Pediatric Perfusionist. Must have pediatric and adult perfusion experience. Ability to work on Call; must live within 30 minutes from the hospital.

AmSECT Membership Eligibility

An Active Member shall be any perfusionist active in the practice of extracorporeal circulation technology. There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program. Other options include; an Associate Membership, International Membership, Perioperative Blood Management Clinician Membership, and Student Membership.
