Position: Perfusionist

Location: Waukesha, WI 

Description: Excellent opportunity to create optimal work/life balance at the ProHealth Care Waukesha Memorial Hospital located in Waukesha, Wisconsin. We are seeking a staff perfusionist to join the director and one other staff to manage this program performing approximately 175 cardiac procedures/year. Cases are generally elective CABG, OPCABG, and VALVES, with occasional ECMO insertion which is transported to local ECMO Center. Additional services include; TAVR standby, data management, and blood management services. Call responsibilities are shared by the three-person team.

Additionally, our communities are a short drive from several large metropolitan areas including the greater Milwaukee and Madison areas. You and your family may also enjoy an abundance of winter activities within the area, or a short drive to northern Wisconsin as well as the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and Wisconsin’s beautiful Door County area.

Requirements: Graduation from a CAAHEP accredited school of cardiovascular perfusion or met Grandfather Clause of the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion and Pennsylvania Licensing Board.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Certified or certification eligible per guidelines of the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion within 6 months of hire date. Acquire Wisconsin Perfusion License within 6 months of hire.

An Active Member shall be any perfusionist active in the practice of extracorporeal circulation technology. There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program. Other options include; an Associate Membership, International Membership, Perioperative Blood Management Clinician Membership, and Student Membership.
