Description: Come work in an area that has it all. Excellent team of 2 surgeons and 3 perfusionist performing around 400 hearts per year. All adult case load includes CABG, Valve, and TAVRs.
Fort Pierce, FL has a quaint historic downtown area that is located directly on the intercoastal waterway. They host a farmer's/craft market every Saturday throughout most of the year featuring local bands. Downtown also has a variety of cool bars, restaurants, craft breweries, and even a performing arts theater. There is a fantastic marina located here as well, that provides fishing charters, boat dockage, and sightseeing cruises.
Fort Pierce is conveniently located for easy exploration of the remainder of the state. We are approximately 3 hours from Tampa/Orlando, 3 hours from Daytona, 3 hours from Miami and the Upper Florida Keys.
Vero Beach, to the north of Fort Pierce, has great beaches, shops/outlets, restaurants, and a Disney Vacation Club. If you are looking for a more metropolitan area, the Palm beaches are about 30 mins south of Fort Pierce.
The entire Treasure Coast region (Vero, Fort Pierce, Port Saint Lucie, Jensen Beach, Stuart) is home to pristine sandy beaches with clear blue water perfect for fishing, snorkeling, surfing, scuba diving, boating, and any other water activity your heart desires. All of the public beaches in the area provide free parking, bathhouses, and a majority are patrolled by lifeguards. The beaches are rarely crowded and extremely family friendly; there is even a dog friendly beach for your furry friends.
The area is also known for their baseball training camps. Port Saint Lucie is home to the Mets during spring training. If you are interested in golfing, the area has a plethora of courses, including the PGA Golf Club complete with the PGA Learning Center.

Two years minimum of experience; five plus years of experience preferred.
Ability to work on Call; must live within 30 minutes from the hospital.
