Night Shift Perfusionist

Position: Night Shift Perfusionist - Penn Medicine 

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Description: Full-time nightshift opportunity three to four shifts per week with flexible options at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania which #6 in US News & World Report for Cardiothoracic Surgery. Works with the Director of Perfusion to provide patient care within the scope of practice of the perfusion service; accountable for ensuring that perfusion clinical practice, and perfusion technical and clinical education and perfusion research are conducted with UPHS standards. Assists with evaluation of equipment and techniques for implementation into clinical practice. Works with Director of Perfusion to meet the human and material needs of the department and institution, on a short and long term basis. Serves as a resource for perfusion information. Assists with management of HR and QI functions within Department.

Requirements: Must be currently certified as a perfusionist by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) or eligible to take the ABCP exams. Must be licensed as a Perfusionist in the State of Pennsylvania or eligible to be granted licensure.

Must be a graduate of an accredited perfusion program. Baccalaureate preferred

At least three years experience.

An Active Member shall be any perfusionist active in the practice of extracorporeal circulation technology. There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program.
