The Chief Pediatrics Perfusionist position includes supervisory responsibilities for planning, directing, and delivery of perfusion care and quality outcomes (24 hours a day, 7 days a week). Responsible for the operation of the pump-oxygenator (heart lung machine) and other related equipment for open-heart surgery, emergency trauma, emergency heart patients, and other emergency long-term support. Functions as part of the Heart Surgery Team. Ensures safe transition of patients from operative setting to NICU/PCIU when patients remain on ECMO. Serves in consultative and support role for neonatal and pediatric ECMO teams. Responsible for management of Perfusion supply operational budgets. Provides direction for daily management of the delivery of care and other perfusionist personnel.
Requirements: Bachelors degree. Masters degree preferred. Preferred 3 plus years of experience. Must be a Certified Perfusionist and licensed eligible in the state of Georgia
