Position: Cardiovascular Perfusionist 

Location: Boston, MA

Description: Under the general supervision of the Director Perfusion Services at Mass General Hospital, operates ExtraCorporeal circulation equipment during medical procedures requiring support or temporary replacement of patient’s circulatory or respiratory functions.  Prepares and administers blood products and prescription solutions through bypass circuitry.

Requirements: B.A. degree with science courses: biology, physiology, chemistry and physics. Completion of a Perfusion Education Program, accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, and eligibility to complete certification with the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP).

There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program.
