Position: Cardiovascular Perfusionist

Location: Denver CO.

Description: Denver Perfusion Srvs. is currently seeking an experienced perfusionist to join a group of eight.  Adult perfusion practice providing services to three Denver hospital and one hospital in Greeley, CO.  Full time position for a motivated, independent perfusionist. Operates and maintains the extracorporeal equipment and instrumentation during surgery. Operates, sets-up, maintains, and/or monitors equipment to provide support to the various cardiac and non-cardiac services: ECMO, CPB, IABP, VAD'S, HIPEC, AUTOTRANSFUSION, ULTRAFILTRATION, methods of blood conservation, and physiologic monitoring.  Assists with the selection and care of perfusion-related instruments. Demonstrates ability to function autonomously, seeking assistance as needed from peers and physicians.  Knowledge of perfusion theory and techniques ,anatomy and physiology.  

Requirements: Certified by the ABCP or must complete the certification process within one year of employment

There are also opportunities to become a Transitional Active Member for those less than a year removed from graduation from an approved accredited training program. Other options include; an Associate Membership, International Membership, Perioperative Blood Management Clinician Membership, and Student Membership.
